A 51-year-old man with severe scoliosis and cerebral palsy died from aspiration pneumonia. He had a documented history of aspiration risk requiring monitoring while drinking. Despite speech pathology assessment, nil-by-mouth status, and nasogastric tube placement, he continued aspirating and deteriorated.
