Robert Edward Curry, a 38-year-old man with profound intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, severe kyphoscoliosis, and chronic respiratory compromise died from end-stage respiratory failure. A medication administration error occurred on the morning of his death when carers at his residential unit accidentally gave him another resident's medications including anticonvulsants and benzodiazepines.
