Coroner's Finding: Stacey, Leanne Maree

Leanne Maree Stacey, aged 51, died on 25 November 2014 at her home in Latrobe, Tasmania. She was discovered lying on the floor by her mother and sister the following morning. The coroner found the cause of death to be the combined effects of ischaemic and valvular heart disease and combined drug intoxication involving dothiepin, morphine, and benzodiazepines. Post-mortem examination revealed she had injected oral medications. Ms Stacey had a long history of substance abuse despite previous rehabilitation attempts. She also had diabetes and Hepatitis C. The coroner found no evidence that any other person contributed to her death and made no recommendations.
